COLOUR | Sumizome, or ink-dyeing, is a method of dyeing cotton yarn with sumi ink, which is made from the soot of pine branches and is traditionally used in calligraphy and ink painting. It results in an abstract, variegated pattern ranging from tan to black.
FIT | Drop length measures approximately 2 1/4″ (5.8 cm).
MATERIALS | Variegated cotton yarn dyed with sumi ink, non-tarnishing 14K gold filled earwires.
CARE | Brass oxidizes naturally, giving it an aged look over time. You can clean and polish it with common household products like lemon juice, ketchup, or toothpaste. However, use care when cleaning the brass or metal components of your jewellery to avoid letting the cleaning agent come into contact with the fibres.
PLEASE NOTE | Each piece is individually handmade and may vary slightly from the images shown. Please allow for subtle variations of natural materials and dyes, as well as natural oxidization of brass over time.
